Getting to College Station: Your Guide to Air & Road Travel
College Station, Texas, is centrally located in the Brazos Valley and conveniently accessible via major highways and multiple nearby airports. For those driving, College Station is situated along Highway 6, a key north-south route that connects to major interstates and highways across Texas. The city is approximately 1.5 hours from Houston via TX-6 N, about two hours from Austin using TX-21 E and TX-47 N, and roughly three hours from Dallas via I-35E S to TX-6 S.

Easterwood Airport (CLL) – College Station, TX Just three miles from downtown College Station, Easterwood is the closest airport, served by American Airlines with connections primarily through Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston. From Easterwood, take University Drive E directly into College Station; it’s just a 10-minute drive to The George Hotel and other major destinations.

George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) – Houston, TX Approximately 74.4 miles southeast of College Station, IAH offers extensive flights via United Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, JetBlue, and Frontier Airlines. From IAH, take I-69 N to TX-249 N and merge onto TX-105 W. From there, connect to TX-6 N straight to College Station. This route typically takes about 1.5 hours by car.

Hobby Airport (HOU) – Houston, TX Located about 92.8 miles southeast of College Station, Hobby Airport serves Southwest Airlines and additional carriers like American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Allegiant Air. From HOU, take I-45 N to TX-6 N to reach College Station. The drive generally takes between 1.75 to 2 hours.

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) – Austin, TX Situated around 85.2 miles southwest of College Station, AUS offers flights from American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, Alaska Airlines, JetBlue, Spirit Airlines, Allegiant Air, and Frontier Airlines. To reach College Station from AUS, take TX-71 E to TX-21 E, then merge onto TX-47 N/TX-21 E and follow signs for College Station. This drive takes approximately 1.75 to 2 hours.
